Upon entering MPR's Antelope Pasture you will have an opportunity to add an exotic hunt to your trophy whitetail package and raise your hunting experience to the next level.

Several exotic species call the Antelope Pasture home, including elk, kudu, sable, eland, scimitar-horned oryx, axis, blackbuck, fallow deer, sika, and many more. The perfect add-on or offseason hunt, exotic species in Texas can be hunted year round. A challenging hunt, the Antelope Pasture at Montgomery Properties Ranch provides an abundance of thick cover, offering many places for game to hide. Most hunts are spot-and-stalk, and those familiar with shooting sticks and bipods have the opportunity to put their shooting skills to the test.

Hunt Fees & Neccessities

Montgomery Properties requires half of the booking fee as deposit (non-refundable), payable when the hunt is booked. The remaining booking fee is to be paid upon arrival at the ranch. Additional trophy fees incurred upon the harvest of an animal must be paid prior to leaving the ranch.

The only necessities to bring include:

- Rifle and ammo (good to bring a back-up in case of malfunction)
- Clothing
- Personal items
- Cooler large enough to transport meat back home
- Texas Hunting License

Wildlife Management

With over 7 generations of ranching in the Montgomery family history, we have developed a knack for animal husbandry and range management. Today, we continue that heritage not only with livestock, but with the wildlife that call the ranch home. Over 20 years later, the results of our wildlife management program can be seen in the success of our hunting operation and in the smiles of our hunters.

As research has shown, there are several important factors vital to the success of any whitetail or wildlife management program. At MPR, we have studied hard and practiced even harder, and not only do we employ the latest management techniques, we have adapted them to maximize the potential of our the ranch's wildlife and habitat.

Through an aggressive food plot program, our wildlife experience supplemental feeding that Emeril Lagasse would be highly proud of! With nutrition rich food plots tailored to specific times of the year, wildlife and whitetails have year round forage vital to their health allowing them to reach their maximum potential. In addition, we increase our supplemental feeding program to include certain grains and protein feed throughout the year, ensuring healthy fawn crops and the strong antler development we have come to be known for. Our free choice protein feed program further enhances the choices available to our trophy whitetails and benefits other game and wildlife.

Our obvious focus is on producing trophy whitetails year after year. In doing so, we must control not only the population, but also the genetic pool that manufacturers our whitetail herd's offspring each year. To achieve our goals in maximizing antler growth and building a genetically superior herd, we at times introduce outside genetics from not only our whitetail breeding program, but from other top breeding programs throughout Texas and North America. This has helped us in establishing a far superior herd compared to that of the local population and other hunting ranches. In turn, our hunters have the opportunity to witness trophy whitetail hunting at it's best!
